My late father always stressed the importance of family ties, and he always insisted that we all be present at dinners to celebrate Chinese festivals as an extended family. True to form, we gathered for a pot-luck dinner last night to mark the Dumpling Festival or Dragon Boat Festival to some. A great variety of food as always, and great company to boot.
